Trump's singular political achievement has been to politicize ignorance. His goal is a coalition of drones, led by sociopaths. It worked to get him to the WH. The less you followed politics, the more you liked Trump in 2024. Reactionaries want subjects rather than citizens. This is why atheist reactionaries still love and support religious fundamentalists.
