ahahahahahAHAHAHaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wheeee!!!!! Not only do we have zero rent money because we poured everything we could into getting the car fixed so that it doesn't get towed under cover of darkness from our apartment complex, the check engine light came back on last night. So we still can't register it, because it won't be able to pass emissions. Since the shop decided to save me the cost of the emissions test fail in the beginning, I have no documentation of the codes to apply for an emissions test exemption to at least have it temporary legal again. Which I think means we have no way of getting it registered and out of danger until we they can fix whatever the problem is (which I think is something I had insisted several times I wanted them to check out because it's been causing me problems for ten years, but they attributed it to the intake air hose being disconnected when I got there so I don't think they really took me seriously) and I'm sure that will cost us another small fortune. So.. to recap, I put us at serious risk of losing our apartment to save a twenty year old car from being towed that still cannot be legally driven until whatever else is wrong with it is addressed.
