@radieschen@climatejustice.social @badnetmask@hachyderm.io oh fun times, btrfs or microsd card stopped me from data loss but i got kernell freeze and in small times it didnt freeze i did see there was write taking longer than 120 seconds warnings in the dmesg.
I switched to hard disk and later added nvme ssd for os and program files etc.

I have been avoiding the problem you two described for a very long time: I have the Raspberry Pi OS on the SD card, but all the application data is running out of an NFS share. I do intend to move to a full boot from a USB device (either HDD or NVMe, depending on what I can find in a closet).
