@marick@mstdn.social I am of two minds here as well honestly. I suppose I have to begrudgingly admit that wearing a cone on your hat these days is not enough to get the government to send the goons out with clubs or guns.
The counter factual there being wearing that wearing an inflatable dinosaur outfit seems to be enough to get ICE hit squads to be sent after you, so perhaps being distinctly unserious is still or yet again a very valid approach to protest.

The administration wanted everyone to think ICE protests were like Black Lives Matters protests, which had successfully been portrayed so as to make them offputting to normies who dislike chaos.
