Possibly the UK's slimiest columnist Rod Liddle has died at the age of 66.

I'll never work out how he held onto a career after penning a column saying he couldn't be a teacher, because he couldn't resist the urge to have sex with the kids.
But then, it was The Spectator he wrote for. The same magazine that has praised literal Nazis.

Liddle was also a vicious homophobe. Calling it "unnatural" and a sign from God that gay men shouldn't be having sex, if they needed drugs like poppers. He didn't see the funny side when Private Eye pointed to one of his columns talking about his own sex life, and suggested that equally should be a sign from God that he shouldn't be having sex and it was "unnatural". If he was having to take drugs like Viagra.
