one thing I realised last week is that I completely wore off social media, doomscrolling, youtube talking heads talking about things, even daily puzzles. just like that, without even thinking about it, not because I wanted to reduce my device usage but simply because I was too busy doing other things. well ok "other things" here mostly means babygirl, but still. my point is that if social media or internet addiction is a substitute to community or a rewarding and fulfilling lifestyle, trying to remove the social media or internet is a losing game. the point is not to get rid of the painkillers, the point is to get rid of the pain

@elilla@transmom.love god that is amazing. and true in my experiences as well, a good sequence of party beats any of this shit. had a day of city exploring => airport fuckery => 5hr flight => dropoff luggage with mom => girls :blobcat_blep: => 23:00 intercity bus home that shit rocked. and friends came to see me at the airport, we went to girls together.. did not worry about a thing until well after the next day i wanna just do as much as i want, dip in and out of these parties like what i imagine a burning man might be like :neobot_thonk:
