@nixCraft@mastodon.social The architectural design of a classic pump & dump. Insiders know ROI on AI infrastructure isn't matching cash burn. As institutional smart money offloads, retail buys the peak—setting up pensions as exit liquidity. When it pops, losses socialize, gains stay private. #AIBubble #MarketManipulation #TechEconomy

@nixCraft@mastodon.social yes, history often repeats itself, but historically, have we ever seen one specific industry being so heavily subsidized to where this bubble is going to collapse more than a few businesses? I can't say for certain, but I get the feeling that this bubble pop is going to create something we've never seen before and nothing we do will prepare us for what's to come. I hope I'm very wrong, but I rarely am or I'm pretty damn close when it comes to recognizing patterns like this.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Microsoft made actually good profits and is able to sell datacenter capacity. So it’s not all doom and gloom.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Hilarious that tea leaf readers into #aibubble Advising IT teams NOT to make Ai part of their production... ...use AI as part of their production (Podcast->Transcript) Shades of Doctorow #hypocrisy rallying the wood folk against AI while himself using AI 💀

@nixCraft@mastodon.social No no,most people don't know it yet; it takes time for things to become obvious. You're on the leading edge of noticing the signs. I've notified my friends, but what else can you do. Comparing this with the dotcom bubble, IIRC it took 14 months from the first definite signs until the bubble was considered totally popped (all the relevant stocks that weren't going to make it had crashed or even gone bankrupt, etc.) Technology is faster now, but is the stock market? It's hard to say.
