Next heat wave is hitting central Europe and again reading the same old stories in the media from there, "drink a lot of water", "open windows when it's only really hot instead of frying hot" etc. You need air conditioning and it needs to be rolled out in a EU-wide initiative that does something like "everyone in the EU has a right to not die from heat, we're aiming at 100% coverage with 3 years or something"; it needs to be a serious, large-scale effort with governments (supporting laws, coordination), industry (production of AC units, making sure power grid is ready), and people (awareness campaigns, getting it to most affected people first) involved. People are fucking dying.
