@aceryz@social.hackerspace.pl @nina_kali_nina@tech.lgbt The "classic" era, Epson FX-80 and i suspect this printer is similar, the "dot" was about 1 printer's point. 1/72 inch. But, especially in higher quality modes, the dot spacing was higher: 144dpi horizontally, and 216dpi vertically: adjacent dots would overlap. The normal printing mode was 144 dpi horizontally and 72dpi vertically, but with the added restriction that adjacent dots had to be 1/72 inch apart or more (couldn't fire the same pin twice in succession). You get higher quality by slowing everything down and doing more passes.
