Ugh, this is so annoying.
The Fediverse doesn't need a TikTok. The universe doesn't need a TikTok. TikTok is garbage.
I was so hoping that #Loops would be a real personal video sharing platform like [Beme] was (for a short time), and not just another brainrot spigot.

@rl_dane@polymaths.social @occult@vox.ominous.net Short video is a medium, and a fast growing one. There are tons of creators sharing unique and exciting content, it's not brainrot. There is literally no incentive to post brainrot on Loops, because we don't monetize interactions with ads. It's really just people sharing videos. Also Pixelfed isn't abandonware. People said the same thing last year when I didn't work on Loops. Now look at Loops 🚀
