@grork@mastodon.social Millennials and Gen Z have an easy time identifying Gen-X-sourced humor—the repost is an example. One common tell is that the joke relies on pointing out hypocrisy with edgy language or cuss words. Most people my age won’t find that interesting. I wonder what are the Millennial styles of humor that Gen Z could articulate in the same way but I can’t separate myself from?

@kyle@mister.computer I see. I wonder if this is actually American-GenX? I honestly didn’t think this was edgy or hypocritical? If you’d asked me to generationalise it, i’d have picked late-stage millennial given the office reference being distinctly millennial, vs any other generation?
