@1a1nC@mastodon.online the “they cheated” quote on the BBC is as good as saying “we’d cheat if we could” - because people who wouldn’t cheat wouldn’t even think of saying it, unless there was something blatantly amiss. Which there wasn’t in this instance.

@1a1nC have some German satire about the Greens coming to power (I believe it works okish with the subtitles) it's a collection of the wild stuff our populists get up to when a green candidate gets out ahead in an election. Well executed too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecLJYwDmur4

@1a1nC Hello, could I politely ask that you don't use asterisks to "censor" words here on Mastodon. I have a filter for that word to prevent it appearing in my timeline. I don't want to read, hear, or in any way be reminded about him. So when you put the asterisk in, my filter doesn't recognise the word and up pops your post, retooted into my timeline by a well-meaning person. Remember, this isn't Twitter where you will get dogpile by MAGA supporters as soon as you post something they don't like. So there's no real reason to asterisk/censor the word. Thanks.
