It's funny how long it can take sometimes to draw connections that are obvious in hindsight.
I learnt the word 詰まり from Brand New Animal to mean clogged or packed, when a character was told off for having a bath in animal form since it'd clog the drain.
Then I kept seeing つまり and found the definition of "in short, all in all" kinda meanings, and figured it was a totally separate word. It's actually the same word I just realised, lol. They're packing the idea down into something smaller, lol.
It's also still amusing how I'll learn something new and then see it EVERYWHERE and wonder how I could've possibly missed it for so long haha. I guess it's only through exposing yourself a lot to things in slightly different contexts do you arrive on the context that aids understanding enough to stick.
