@TrueNorthSpice@mastodon.world One thing is identifying and amplifying good local journalists that are often working in single person shops or even community members that don't consider themselves to be journalists but are doing the job and posting to some place on Facebook. The latter, especially, needs to get off that platform, but there is also a technical (and financial) hurdle to making the jump off of that platform.
