@JonathanMosen@caneandable.social @bmoore123@tweesecake.social Yes, if you are member of a political party here in Canada, you can participate in that party's leadership whenever a new leader needs to be chosen, but this is not on regular schedule. Also the different parties decide on how they want to conduct process, for example, the conservative party uses a one memer one vote system, while believe the Liberal Party elects deligates to attend the convention or chose the leader. I don't know how other parties work it. Also, these examples may be out of date since I don't always follow leadership conventions closely
