@NJWookie@mindly.social I'd hope for that kind of waking up, but I'd say that for the majority of bishops, it's just not taking place. They have placed all their marbles in the JPII-BXVI culture war fixations, combating abortion and same-sex rights (and women's rights). I also think that the 6 in 10 white Catholics who have voted for Trump three times now will be slow to wake up. Still, Leo is making a difference, it seems to me, and a few courageous bishops are following his lead.
