Classic #EasternEurope experience at a Slovenian mountain hut. - Me: Dober dan, erm… English/Deutsch? - Personnel: says something inconclusive (we are 1km from the Austrian border, a few km from the international tourist ghetto of Bled) - Can I stay one night? - (Something leaning towards no) - Can I pitch a tent then? - Something uncertain/no, struggles to explain. Calls someone on the phone. And then asks if I need an invoice and if not, whether I can pay cash, discounted 20€ per night :)
