@signalapp@mastodon.world @AboutSignalNL@mastodon.social I just discovered that when you want to share your location using the Signal's 'share your location' feature, it sends a link of..... Google Maps 🥴 I could not find a way to change this to an (open standard) geolocation link. - did I overlook a setting? If not: - why is Signal revealing it's user location to Google? - why would Signal promote Google Maps? #privacy #locationsharing

Er van uitgaande dat Signal gebruikt maakt van de locatie service die Android standaard gebruikt: als Android, dan Google is dan toch geen vreemde keus? Bovendien is er een groot verschil tussen Google Maps gebruiken en het promoten.

Molly maakt gebruik van Openstreetmap.org en je kan ook Unified Push gebruiken als vervanging van Google FCM.
