Garmin, Starva and a like use user contributed data which they sell as part of their paid scubscriptions. This really annoys me.
I want to avoid doing the same with #VertMatch
Firstly, I want to keep the Climb Database freely available to everyine. Forever (assuming I can find ways to cover server costs).
Secondly, I'm setting up a reward system that automatically gathers poinst to users from every contribution. A certain level automatically converts into a free premium month.

That way anyone tkaing the time to improve the system is, not only improving an open database, but also getting the benefits of the full system that is built on top of the open databse. I'm not fully sure how the details will look like. If you have ideas or thoughts, let me know!
