@film_girl quick reminder for everyone in this thread to not use #ICEBlock ! The app is likely very insecure and the developer has repeatedly refused help from security researchers! Also many community anti-ice organizers have pointed out that the app's lack of report verification has lead to massive influxes of false and mis-reports, which has only spread unneccessary fear through communities and done far more harm than good. This is also something the developer has refused to fix. if you want to combat ICE, join a local ICE Watch organization! IRL orgs can provide trainings and they generally have far more well-developed protocols for reporting, report verification, and community mobilization. ICEBlock is at best techno-solutionism led by a guy who consistently refuses to listen to actual organizers and security researchers on how to improve the security and effectiveness of his app. At worst it is actively harmful to community ICE defense efforts and puts all of the app's users at risk of political repression due to its lack of robust security. https://micahflee.com/unfortunately-the-iceblock-app-is-activism-theater/
