For me a settings sheet was always a bit of a trickier question, because settings are usually not saved on close, but applied directly. Though, the longer I look at it the more I feel like it makes sense to use a trailing checkmark in this case.
This keeps the old pattern of the trailing “Done” button and works with a multi-step flow (if needed). I guess it also doesn’t hurt to confirm to the user that things are saved.

And it matches quite well with the SwiftUI Toolbar placements. Too bad there is no .closeAction placement to make this super clear. 😅
