@BasicAppleGuy@mastodon.social A “strategy” as old as time…notch up the price little by little, so your customers don’t fully grok how much they’re being fleeced. Even worse, the services usually are not adding a ton of value (if they add any at all), or maybe they remove value, over the period of increases. They can use any number of excuses (inflation, rising costs of infrastructure, whatever) and it is all a lie. Greed, combined with a lack of any law with the teeth to stop them, and little user choice.

@kmgrant@mastodon.social @BasicAppleGuy@mastodon.social You don’t have to like it but prices do go up. It’s why most everything costs more than it did in the 90s. People are free to just buy music and films. I’m afraid those prices go up too.
