@gsuberland@chaos.social personally i would be inclined to make it a 2D mesh network with active repeaters made out of ice40's or something, where the routing path directly encodes the addressing of the pixels. so like, bottom left corner is the feed point and that is (0,0) by definition, one hop east is (1,0), etc
