Thank you everyone for your kind words and messages … I was about to start replying when the building next door to me caught fire. Flames 4 stories tall. As I said, it’s just one thing after another. One step forward and soooo many leaps back. Thankfully no one was hurt but the building was very old and so there was likely lead and asbestos being burned. The smoke was thick and triggered anaphylaxis again. 7 out of the last 8 nights I’ve been in anaphylaxis. Fighting to breathe. Covered in hives. Full body nerve pain and no ability to sleep due to unrelenting tachycardia. This is the chronic illness experience. You can do everything “right” and still have severe setbacks. Your life and health are often out of your control. The hospital can’t help. Doctors dismiss you. Friends & family don’t get it. It’s lonely & isolating. If you survived another day, be proud.
