If you’ve ever wanted a consistent train journey from Melbourne’s north to the South-East – the City Loop Reconfiguration project is what would deliver that in multiple ways. Here’s a mockup I’ve put together of how it would look on the map, if implemented around 2035. For many people, this would mean you could catch a train to and from a City Loop station at any time of day rather than being stuck in the lunchtime reversal.
