@handmade_ghost@sunny.garden Oh my word! This is one of my favorite¹ sci-fi stories! I first read it years ago in the book, "The Martian Chronicles", which I borrowed from our high school library. This past Spring semester, I read an updated² copy for my WRT-102 "Writing II" course. Significant impact then, significant now! 8- } ( ¹ this story lingered in the back of my mind when earned my B.S. in Computer Science. :- ) ( ² the newer copy dated from 1997 edition which added 31 years to the original dates in the book. :- )
