I posted a few weeks ago about my 12 yo granddaughter learning to weld when she was visiting her other grandparents in France. She brought her project home and entered it in her local county fair in the metalworking category. In spite of being the youngest entrant, she ended up receiving the grand champion ribbon and an invitation to the Illinois state fair competition later this fall. As a metal worker myself, I am so proud of her.
