26 Jul: Roast lamb #cooking #food #FoodDiary Although it may not look like it from the photos, we're on a - continuing - effort to lose some of the weight that has slowly piled on over years of indulging in food and drink. Portions have been smaller and we've cut out some of the booze (while still drinking more than recommended...). My use of butter has probably been cut by three quarters and I've been sparing with other delicious things while trying to keep everything tasting great. I'm not expecting (or aiming) to get back to my 9 stone, 28 inch waist, assisted-blond twink self from the late 90s, but it's a sensible thing to be doing. Anyway, that's a preamble to offer an excuse as to why those roast potatoes look disappointing - far too little fat on them!
