It drives me absolutely bonkers iDevices don’t natively support ANT.
For the uninitiated, it’s a Bluetooth low energy radio protocol used in a TON of devices- everything from CGM sensors, bike cadence sensors, blood pressure cuffs, scales, and a slew of other devices that shouldn’t need a full fucking app just to “work”. From a privacy standpoint it would be a huge win, as this data could pipe directly into something like Apple Health without the need for yet another app, account, and shit-filled “connectors” to “sync” the data you should already own by default. It would also open up a whole world of possibilities for folks tracking health and workout stats.
Then again, i also believe smart watches should have USB ports and should just store the recorded data in JSON, so maybe I’m a bad person to ask.
