@tempusfelix@wehavecookies.social @ianturton@mapstodon.space @suearcher@toot.wales they need painted black and aren’t recommended for watering livestock but they work well for garden water.

@Janet_52square@sunny.garden I can get that painting them black would reduce algae built up (a big problem in one of mine) but not feeding livestock? Because of the algae risk? Because it’s not flowing fresh water? Honest question, I’d not thought about it before.
