a bit of recurring "how to grow your audience" advice I keep seeing is that the age of the album is over and that all music should be released as singles instead. What do y'all think? I definitely prefer albums as a listener, and also as a unit of musical storytelling.

Most of the advice for "just release singles" comes from a purely streaming perspective (which I abhor) and also from a "keep the algorithm fed" standpoint (which I also abhor)
