@amenonsen@flipping.rocks I've looked at Qubes before, always seemed interesting but waaaay more complicated than I could deal with for regular usage
I suppose what I'm thinking of is an intermediate point between the default of "one user account, everything has access to everything" and full Qubes-style isolation

@rachelplusplus@tech.lgbt Indeed, it always felt a step too far somehow. I found the blog post interesting because it suggested that it's not that big a deal to use. Plus the idea of systematic segregation enforced by the system is attractive because it's not as vulnerable to lazy mistakes by me in maintaining some self-directed separation. (But I also haven't tried to use Qubes myself, and I've also been lazy about doing any other kind of isolation. 🙈)
