Last night I turned the light on as I entered the kitchen to see two water beetles scurrying away for a hiding spot. These are large beetles that normally hang around outside the back door. Anyway, they’re so big and heavy that when they went to running they kind of ran in place momentarily like a cartoon before skidding off into whatever hiding spot they could manage.
