Well, I gave GNOME a "serious try" for 5 minutes, after being handed a remote desktop VM in which to do a work task. Can cross that off my todo list. How is GNOME a thing, that people use? I want to see the All Applications list. I had to click THREE UI elements to get there, and nothing afforded me a keyboard shortcut hint along the way. No Dark Mode. No "reduce motion" mode. Basically, you don't configure GNOME.
