Anthropic said its investigation was consistent with its "blameless postmortem culture." Bullshit! There's absolutely blame here; both OpenAI and Anthropic published blog posts literally detailing their crimes. If companies can't keep their own dangerous tech safe, they should face the consequences.

    @zackwhittaker@mastodon.social OpenAI legal will no doubt claim lack of criminal intent, no harm done re:espionage or damage, and wave away reckless endangerment. Absolutely love that Anthropic will be so torn because it will mean admitting Claude is not a real boy and lacks mens rea. 😂
