POLL TIME! My mom loved Stephen King's novels. Two in particular: The Stand and Needful Things. I've only tried reading one—Pet Sematary—and I... found it lacking. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance, or I went into it thinking I'd be scared from the start and I wasn't. At all. Either way, I DNF'd.
