⚠️ There are only 2 (two) good date formats:
DMY (31 Jul 2026) for reading, narration, & natural language.
ISO 8601 (2026-07-31) for lists, sorting, & technical accuracy.
Most of the world already does this! Yes, really. 👋

ALSO — *weaponizing* ISO 8601 by using it EVERYWHERE "because it's the standard!!1" —even in unhinged places like, say, an isolated date range in a web UI — is a jerk thing to do. No, my brain cannot parse "2026-07-27 - 2026-08-01" as fast as "27 Jul - 1 Aug", so sorry for not being a computer. 😛 Maybe think about what you're building.
