@flyingsaceur@ioc.exchange an EFHW? How do you know if the balun is good? It might be as lossy as your random wire tuner, or worse!
Ya gotta start with a dipole. 1:1 choke balun at the feedpoint.
Or, you know.. just listen to the advice, nod, smile, and then do whatever the hell you want 😛

Limit the number of variables and points of failure An antenna analyzer as a learning tool is a great way to see if the antenna is at least behaving roughly like it should, and also takes a lot of guesswork out of troubleshooting I wish that 10m, especially over line of sight, were more active around my QTH as that makes the Technician section the best place to learn… and where the homemade antennas are much more manageably sized
