@thing@thegayagenda.fans on Sharkey, the default limit is pretty low, but it cannot be set any higher than 8192. which, to be clear, is plenty. I've never run into this being an issue until literally today.

@thing@thegayagenda.fans to my understanding, the database schema is like, hard-capped at 8192 and remote posts will always be truncated to that length too; it's physically not possible to store more without rethinking the storage of those posts.
