@dpp@mastodon.social my wife works at vet clinics and one of the ones she worked at got bought out. The new owners trashed the health insurance at the earliest chance they got. She went from a really good HMO plan (“Gold” in healthcare exchange terms) for $35/mo to an absolute stripped down HDHP for over $150. If she wanted a plan with similar deductibles as she had before it was over $500/mo.
