In an emergency, I can unlock the door for anyone no matter where I am as long as I have internet. I nearly had a house fire awhile back while I was away dropping my kid off at school. I was able to remotely unlock my door and my neighbor and fire department were able to assist and make the situation safe. No broken doors or windows needed.

  I just paid for a #GMRS license, my first #FCC issued radio license. Is this a slippery slope? Am I mere years away from having a large radio antenna installed at my house? Will I have a collection of radios I can’t find places for? What does my future hold?!?

  Got my pellet smoker going for the first time this year. Doing some cleanup and prep for putting a ham on tomorrow. Ham came from a family friend who raised the pig (and I helped butcher). Cured it at home then had it sitting in the freezer over the winter waiting for better weather. Better weather is arriving now so time to get it smoked!
