I've been saying for years that if you can't relate, empathize or make life easier for your users, the best security plans will completely fall apart because those plans will be resoundingly ignored or worked around.

@Stormgren@obsidianmoon.com @julie@merida.hair Last shop I worked in, under the last “CIO”, was very much “we know best, so just do as we say”. I don't know what most regular actual users of the tech thought of that, but within IT the bleating of the higher-ups was resoundingly ignored and/or worked around … Soooo relieved to find out I was eligible to “retire” …
