Donald Trump, in the 1980s, was visiting a 7-Eleven in NYC. As he was checking out, he saw the “leave a penny/take a penny” tray, but it was empty and he was always a few cents short. He became enraged, then inspired. He spent the next 4 decades swindling and cheating his way to the top so he could take ALL the pennies.
Or that’s at least the story I’ll tell my child when she gets older.
