The corporation has a single purpose: dividends. The corporation has zero accountability to social development beyond paying taxes and following laws.
The government has the purpose of social development. The government uses the taxes collected from (some) corporations to deliver social services.
The corporations have done a great job fooling people into thinking that corp executives have any concern about social anything (a corporatism delusion). It's not their job or perogative.

@NMBA@mstdn.ca True enough, but as the posts in this thread show, benefit sharing with the community in which you build is a recipe for being received with open arms. As a clean energy CEO, you ignore that at your peril.
