also, pubs and restaurants, if your menu says "sunday roast" and lists a bunch of roast dinners for £25 or £30 or so then that's fine. If roast potatoes are a separate side dish that you have to pay extra for on top of that £30, then you're a bunch of mendacious thieves and I'm not coming to your place. Be told.

    places who have so far failed the "charging extra for potatoes in a roast dinner" check, also known as the "if I want Ryanair I know where to find them" test: 1000 Trades, Isaacs in the Grand Hotel. [edit: no they haven't, it's just in the fine print that I didn't see. Correction gratefully accepted; I'm sure they're ok! you do in fact get roast potatoes included]
