i'm used to self checkouts that block input and you have to listen to it finish talking to you before it'll scan the next item. Absolutely infuriating and slower than a human cashier.

@azonenberg@ioc.exchange One of the other shops near work uses those, there's usually a queue at the cashier desk as people avoid the self-service there.
