There's not much making sense in traffic regulations. The most dangerous vehicles that without argue kills huge numbers of people have no limits in place at all.

@bike4climate@mastodon.nu It really should be a custom to bring TDs, MPs, MEPs, Congress members, etc out for a bike ride around their city followed by a cup of coffee, to open their eyes wide so they say "Ah, now I see!" and change their approach to legislation
