I think it probably parallels any other industry: top 200 songs in music, top 200 shoes on a given population's feet, etc. Though I totally get your point that it's not entirely shocking to see the typefaces listed. I think it will be interesting to watch newer releases climb the charts, or to look for viral moments. Like, would we have seen Arial in the top 10 during Brat summer? Would Gazetta have been there when The Life of a Showgirl cover premiered?
