Had a good appointment with my GP yesterday. Sadly the change in medication did not help my fatigue. I have 2 years of my 5-year course to go, and I’ve decided to stick with it. My particular sort of breast cancer has a high risk of recurrence so I want to do my best to prevent that. It means I will be living with fatigue for 2 more years, but I know (from a 6-week trial break) when I finish the meds I will feel a lot better!
After 3 years I have adjusted (mostly) to living this way - some things I’ve given up and other things I get help with. I reckon I should be able to muddle through another 2 years like this unless complications arise 🤞🏼I really feel for people who are stuck with fatigue without an end in sight.
