It’s just I’d like everybody to pause for a moment and drink in the absurdity of calling a bike lane DEI.
It’s fucking transportation. Even more important it’s fucking transportation for little kids.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell@masto.ai But including little kids in transportation plans would be "Inclusion", part of DEI. For all of DEI's problems, I don't see how you have a society worth living in without defending the basic concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion. If you can't defend diversity in humans, how are you going to defend biodiversity, for example? These are basic building blocks for many ethical foundations. (And we do see assaults on biodiversity, with e.g. attacks on endangered species.)
